This Privacy Policy describes how Text Counter handles information. It is written to help users understand data practices before installing or using the app from Google Play.
Text you enter
You may type, paste or edit text inside the app. That text is used only to calculate on-device statistics such as characters, words, sentences and related counts. We do not operate a user account system, and we do not upload your editor text to our own servers for storage or analysis.
How text is processed
Text counting and time estimates run locally on your device. Processing happens while you use the editor. Closing or clearing the editor removes the text from the on-screen workspace.
Data stored on the device
Text Counter may save lightweight preferences on your device, such as your selected theme (System, Light or Dark). The app does not create an online archive of your text and does not require registration or login.
Advertising
The app shows Google AdMob advertisements in two formats only: App Open ads and Interstitial ads. No banner, native or rewarded ads are used. Ads may appear after the home screen is ready on a fresh app launch, or after you finish certain actions such as clear, copy, paste or share, subject to frequency controls.
Internet connectivity
An active internet connection through Wi‑Fi or mobile data is required to use Text Counter. If connectivity is unavailable, the app shows a message asking you to turn on internet access. Counting features are intended for use while the app is allowed to run with network access for required app and advertising functionality.
Third-party advertising services
Google AdMob and related Google advertising services may collect or process device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, app interaction data and diagnostic information according to Google's policies, in order to provide, personalize and measure ads. Those services operate under Google's own privacy and advertising terms.
Data safety
Your drafted text is processed locally for counting and is not sold by the app as a product. Advertising partners may process information needed to deliver ads. We do not ask for contacts, camera, microphone, location permission or files access for core counting features.
Your choices
You can clear text at any time, change theme settings, and manage advertising preferences available in your device or Google account settings. Uninstalling Text Counter removes the app and its local preference data from the device.
Children's privacy
Text Counter is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum digital consent age in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this app.
Permissions
The app requests Internet and Network State access so it can verify connectivity and load AdMob ads. It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, precise location or storage permissions for the text-counter features.
Acceptable use
Use Text Counter responsibly. Do not use the app to create or distribute unlawful content. Statistics and time estimates are informational tools and may not be exact for every language or writing style.
Policy updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date above will change when revisions are published in the app. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
