Privacy Policy — Shop POS
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Introduction
Shop POS (“the App”) is a point-of-sale application designed for shopkeepers, showroom owners, and small to medium businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App. By installing or using Shop POS, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Business data you enter
The App stores business information that you provide so you can run your shop, including:
- Shop profile details (shop name, owner name, phone, address, logo, invoice settings)
- Products, categories, prices, and stock quantities
- Customers and customer notes
- Sales, invoices, payments, dues/collections
- Expenses and related notes
- Held carts and app preferences (theme, currency, tax settings)
This business data is stored locally on your device.
Device and advertising-related information
To show advertisements and keep the App operational, Google advertising services may collect or process:
- Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID, where available)
- Approximate device and network information needed for ads and connectivity checks
- App interaction data related to ad delivery and frequency capping
Shop POS itself does not require you to create an online account for core POS features.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate POS features (inventory, sales, invoices, reports, dues, expenses)
- Generate receipts and PDF invoices on your device
- Remember your settings (theme, shop profile, preferences)
- Require an active internet connection as part of the App’s business rules
- Display advertisements via Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, and app open ads)
- Improve stability and prevent abuse of ad placements
Internet permission
Shop POS requires an active internet connection (Wi‑Fi or mobile data) to launch and remain usable. Offline mode is not available for core POS operation. Connectivity is checked so the App can enforce this requirement and support advertising services.
Data storage
Core POS data is stored on-device using a local database. Unless you deliberately export, share, or back up files (for example PDF invoices, CSV exports, or a database backup you create), your shop data remains on your device.
AdMob / third-party advertising
Shop POS uses Google AdMob and related Google Play services to show:
- Banner ads (reserved above the footer menu)
- Interstitial ads (after key sales milestones, frequency capped)
- App open ads (only when the App is freshly opened after being fully closed — not when returning from the home screen after minimizing, and not when navigating between sections inside the App)
Google may collect and process device and advertising identifiers according to Google’s own policies. Please review Google’s Privacy Policy and advertising disclosures. You can limit personalized ads through your device advertising settings where available.
Data sharing
We do not sell your shop’s product, customer, or sales records. Data may be processed by:
- Google (AdMob / Play services) for advertising and related platform services
- You, when you choose to share invoices, PDFs, exports, or backups through Android share intents or other apps you select
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect on-device data through standard Android app sandboxing. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, screen lock, and any backups or shared files you create.
Children’s privacy
Shop POS is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
User controls
You can:
- Edit or delete shop data inside the App
- Clear App data or uninstall the App from your device settings
- Export/share or delete backups and PDFs you created
- Adjust advertising preferences on your device
- Control network access by enabling or disabling internet connectivity (note: the App requires internet to run)
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Shop POS after an update means you accept the revised policy.
