Privacy Policy For SQL Code Editor

Privacy Policy For SQL Code Editor

This privacy policy is shown inside SQL Code Editor. The date on this screen is the current date on your device when you open the page.

Who this notice is for

This notice explains what SQL Code Editor stores, what it does not send, and how advertising works. The app does not ask you to create an account.

Information stored on this device

The app stores these items locally:

• Theme, font size, tab width, word wrap, line numbers, autosave, keyword style, and read-only preferences

• Names and addresses of files you pick, plus draft text so unsaved work can be recovered

• Query history and saved queries, when history is turned on

• SQLite databases you create or import, in the app private storage

This information remains on the device. SQL Code Editor does not intentionally upload your SQL scripts, drafts, query text, or database files to a server operated for this app. A later version would have to say so on this screen before doing that.

Files you choose

Open, save, import, export, and share use the Android file picker. Access is limited to the documents you select. The app does not request broad storage permission for ordinary editing. A selected file may be read-only. Save as is used when a new copy is needed. The app does not assume every document has a normal filesystem path.

Why internet is required

A working internet connection is required before the main screen opens. If Wi-Fi and mobile data are off, or a network is connected without working internet, the app stays on the connection screen and asks you to turn internet on. That check does not authorize uploading your private files. If the connection drops after the editor is already open, you can still save a local draft.

Advertising

The app uses Google AdMob for app-open ads and interstitial ads only. It does not use banner ads, native ads, or rewarded ads. An app-open ad may appear when you open the app from a full close and Home is shown. It is not shown when you only minimize the app or move between sections. An interstitial ad may appear after a SQL query finishes successfully and the result is shown. It is not shown when you tap the footer buttons, and it is not shown at the start of a query.

AdMob may process advertising identifiers, device identifiers, IP address, coarse location derived from the IP address, app interactions, and diagnostic data, as described in Google's current advertising policies and according to the consent choices presented on this device. Those choices are offered through Google's User Messaging Platform where that platform requires them. You can open ad privacy choices from Settings when the option is available, and you can reset the advertising ID from Android settings.

Google advertising information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

The app does not sell your SQL documents. Ad requests are handled by Google under Google's own terms.

Permissions

The app uses the internet and network-state permissions for the connection check and for ads. File access depends on what you select in the system picker. You can review and change permissions in Android settings.

How long information is kept

Local settings, drafts, history, saved queries, and imported databases stay until you delete them, reset settings, clear the app storage, or uninstall the app. Query history can be turned off. Each history item and each saved query can be deleted from History. Clearing history removes the history list stored on the device. Advertising data held by Google is kept under Google's policies, not by a server operated for this app.

Children

SQL Code Editor is a general developer tool. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information.

Third-party software

Google Mobile Ads and the User Messaging Platform are third-party services and follow their own policies. The code editor component is Sora Editor, licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1.

Changes

This policy may be updated in a future version of the app. The date shown here is generated on your device and is not a fixed publication stamp.

This notice describes the behavior of the app. It is not a certificate that any particular privacy law has been audited.
