INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy describes how Notepad Plus - Code Editor ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), developed and published by TPH Software BD, collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you download, install, open, and use our Android mobile application.
Notepad Plus - Code Editor is a code editor and text notepad application. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not download or use the App.
This policy applies to all users of Notepad Plus - Code Editor worldwide. It should be read together with Google Play's terms of service and Google AdMob's advertising policies where applicable.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Information stored locally on your device
Notepad Plus - Code Editor is designed to store the vast majority of your data locally on your Android device. We do not operate cloud servers to store your personal files or notes. The following types of data are stored only on your device:
- Text files and code files — any file you create, open, edit, or save using the editor or file manager, including all file extensions (.txt, .json, .java, .py, .html, .css, .js, and all others)
- Notes and note content — including note titles, body text, categories, and checklist items
- Editor session data — open tabs, tab content, cursor positions, and crash recovery data
- App preferences and settings — including theme selection (Light, Dark, or AMOLED), font size, tab size, encoding, line number display, word wrap, and all other editor settings
- Backup files — backup archives you create using the in-app backup feature
- Recent files list — a local list of files you have recently viewed or edited, stored to show on the Home screen
- Favorites list — files you have marked as favorites for quick access
We do NOT upload, transmit, or sync this locally stored data to TPH Software BD servers or any server operated by us. You retain full ownership and control of all content you create in the App.
1.2 Information collected by third-party advertising services
Notepad Plus - Code Editor uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising platform operated by Google LLC, to display advertisements within the App. When advertisements are shown, Google AdMob may automatically collect certain information from your device, including but not limited to:
- Android Advertising ID (AAID) — a unique, resettable identifier for advertising purposes
- IP address — used for ad delivery and fraud prevention
- Device information — device model, manufacturer, operating system version, screen size, and language settings
- Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, clicked, or dismissed
- Approximate geographic location — derived from IP address at country or region level, not precise GPS location
- App interaction data related to advertisement display
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy, not by TPH Software BD directly. We do not have access to individual user advertising profiles.
