This Privacy Policy describes how Docx To Epub Converter (“the App”) handles information. It is written to help users and Google Play reviewers understand our practices.
1. Introduction
The App converts DOCX files to EPUB and EPUB files to DOCX. This policy explains what information is processed, how advertising works, and what choices you have.
2. Information We Do Not Collect Directly
The App does not require account creation, login, or registration. It does not ask you to submit a name, phone number, or email address through the App’s own screens.
3. Documents and File Processing
When you select a document, the App reads that file to perform conversion. Conversion is designed to run locally on your device. Document contents are not intentionally uploaded to a developer-controlled server for conversion.
Temporary files may be created on the device during conversion and may later be removed. Converted files are stored where you choose using the system file saver, or in app-accessible storage used for opening and sharing.
4. Conversion History
The App may store lightweight history metadata on your device, such as:
• Original file name
• Output file name
• Conversion type
• Date and time
• Success or failure status
History does not store the contents of your documents. You can delete individual history items or clear history from the App.
5. File Access Permissions
The App prefers Android’s Storage Access Framework. Access is generally limited to files and folders you select with the system picker. The App does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone, SMS, or phone permissions.
6. Internet / Network Usage
An active internet connection (Wi‑Fi or mobile data) is required to use the App. Connectivity is used for advertising and related Google Play / AdMob network operations required by the App.
If internet is unavailable, the App shows a message asking you to turn on Wi‑Fi or mobile data and does not continue normal use until connectivity is restored.
7. Advertising
The App shows advertisements to support development. The only advertising formats used are:
• AdMob Interstitial Ads
• AdMob App Open Ads
The App does not use banner ads, native ads, rewarded ads, or rewarded interstitial ads.
App Open ads are intended for fresh app launches. Interstitial ads are intended after the main conversion result is ready. Ads are not shown when tapping footer navigation items (Home, History, Settings).
8. Google AdMob and Google Play Services
Advertising is provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect or process advertising-related information such as advertising ID, device information, and interaction data according to Google’s policies. Please review Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob policies for details about how Google handles this data.
9. Analytics
The App does not intentionally include a separate first-party analytics SDK beyond what may be provided by Google Play services or advertising SDKs.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App’s own features.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable platform protections, including Android sandboxing and FileProvider for sharing. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Data Retention
History metadata remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Temporary conversion files may be removed automatically or when no longer needed.
13. Your Choices
You can:
• Choose which files to convert and where to save results
• Delete history items or clear history
• Control appearance (Light / Dark / System)
• Manage advertising preferences through your device and Google account settings where available
• Uninstall the App at any time
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last Updated” date will change when updates are made. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
