Privacy Policy — App Lock Fingerprint Password

This Privacy Policy explains how App Lock Fingerprint Password ("the App"), published by TPH Software BD ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use the App on your Android device.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
1. Information We Collect
We do NOT collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, SMS, or call logs.
Data stored locally on your device only:
- Hashed PIN and pattern (SHA-256)
- Secret dial code (plain digits, local only)
- List of package names you choose to lock
- Lock on/off status and security settings
- Hide/Calculator mode preference
- Temporary unlock session timestamps
- Premium status (if applicable)
- Device tips shown flag (local preference)
We do not operate a backend server. This data is not transmitted to TPH Software BD.
2. Permissions We Request
- Internet & Network State — Required to open main app screens and load ads
- Usage Access — Detect which app is in the foreground
- Display Over Apps — Optional; improves lock screen on some devices
- Biometric — Fingerprint unlock when enabled
- Foreground Service — Keep protection active in background
- Post Notifications — Monitoring notification (Android 13+)
- Full Screen Intent — Show lock screen quickly
- Accessibility — Detect which app is in the foreground so the lock screen can appear for apps you selected. We show a prominent disclosure and ask for your consent before you enable it. The service does not read screen content, messages, passwords, or browsing data.
- Receive Boot Completed — Restart protection after phone reboot
Android requires you to manually enable Usage Access and Accessibility. The App opens settings but cannot enable them without your confirmation.
3. Google AdMob Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob for advertisements.
- Banner ads may appear on the lock screen when you open a protected app
- Interstitial (full-screen) ads appear inside the App Lock app (home, settings, app list) — not on the lock screen of protected apps
Google may collect:
- Advertising ID (AAID)
- IP address and device information
- Ad interaction data
- Approximate location from IP
This is governed by Google's policies:
You can limit ad personalization in Google Settings → Ads. Main app screens require internet to function.
4. Calculator / Stealth Mode Data
When you enable Hide/Calculator mode (optional):
- Launcher icon switches to Calculator decoy
- Your secret dial code is stored locally in app preferences
- Restore uses your saved secret code through the phone dialer or Calculator screen
- We do not upload dial history or secret codes
- Accessibility is not used to read dialer screen content

Disabling hide mode or uninstalling removes this configuration.
5. Data Security
Security measures:
- PIN/pattern hashed with SHA-256
- Sensitive prefs encrypted with EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256)
- No transmission of credentials to our servers
- Backup rules exclude secure files where configured
No system is 100% secure. Use a strong PIN and keep your device screen lock enabled.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents may uninstall the App or clear its data from Android Settings to remove all local information.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
All data stays on your device until you delete it.
To delete everything:
- Settings → Apps → App Lock Fingerprint Password (or Calculator if hide mode is ON) → Storage → Clear Data
- Or uninstall the App
This permanently removes PIN hash, pattern, secret code, locked apps list, and all preferences.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Because we do not store your data on servers:
- Access — View settings inside the App
- Delete — Clear data or uninstall
- Revoke permissions — Disable in Android Settings anytime
- Opt out of ad tracking — Device Google ad settings
EEA/UK/California users: we do not sell personal information. Contact us via Play Store for privacy requests.
9. Device Compatibility & OEM Settings
The App is designed for Android 7.0+ on phones from Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Huawei, OnePlus, Tecno, Infinix, and others.
Some manufacturers restrict background apps. The App may show tips to open Battery or Auto-start settings. These are standard Android/OEM settings — we do not modify your phone.
Features may vary slightly by device and Android version. Dial restore depends on your phone dialer support. Calculator secret code restore works on-device.
10. Changes, Internet Notice & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last Updated" date will change. Continued use means acceptance.
Internet Required: Main app screens need mobile data or Wi-Fi to open. When internet is OFF, a dialog asks you to turn ON internet. After App Lock protection is enabled, background lock monitoring can continue even if internet is temporarily unavailable.
Accessibility: Used only to detect which app is open so your selected apps can be locked. A disclosure is shown before you enable it. We do not read personal screen content.
Lock Behavior: When you unlock a protected app, you can use it freely. If you minimize, go home, or switch to another app, the lock screen returns the next time you open that app.
