This Privacy Policy explains how MD5 Hash Generator (“the App”) handles information. It is written to support Google Play and AdMob transparency requirements.
1. Who we are
MD5 Hash Generator is a mobile utility that creates hash digests (such as MD5 and SHA family algorithms) from text you enter.
2. Information you provide
Text, numbers, symbols, and other characters you enter are used only to generate hash values. Hash calculation is performed locally on your device. The App does not operate a custom server that uploads your input text for hashing.
3. Local history storage
When you generate a hash, the App may store recent results on your device only (algorithm name, hash value, and date/time). This history helps you copy or review previous results. You can delete individual items or clear all history from Settings or History. Clearing history permanently removes those local records from the App. Uninstalling the App also removes local App data.
4. Internet connection requirement
An active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) is required to use the App under its normal usage policy. This requirement exists primarily because the App uses online advertising and related Google services. If there is no connection, the App shows a clear message asking you to turn on Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again. The App does not pretend that hashing itself is performed on a remote server.
5. Advertising — Google AdMob
The App’s only monetization method is Google AdMob. The App may show:
• App Open ads
• Interstitial ads
The App does not include banner, native, rewarded, or rewarded interstitial ads.
Google and its advertising partners may collect or process certain device and usage information according to their own policies. This can include advertising identifiers, IP-based approximate location, device/app information, and ad interaction data used to deliver, measure, and improve ads. We do not claim that third-party advertising SDKs process zero data.

6. Third-party services
Google Mobile Ads / AdMob components are third-party services. Their collection and use of data are governed by Google’s terms and privacy policies.
7. Permissions
The App requests network-related permissions needed for connectivity checks and advertising. The App does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, phone, or precise location access for its core hashing features.
8. Data retention
• Local hash history remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
• Advertising-related data handled by Google is retained according to Google’s policies.
9. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). Parents and guardians should supervise device use. Privacy and ad controls may be available through your device and Google account settings.
10. Security considerations
We design the App to keep hashing on-device and to avoid unnecessary personal-data collection by the App itself. No electronic system is perfectly secure. Hashing is one-way in normal use and is not the same as encryption. MD5 and SHA-1 should not be used for modern password security. Dedicated password-hashing algorithms (such as Argon2, scrypt, or bcrypt) are recommended for password storage.
11. Your choices and controls
• Clear local history at any time
• Manage ad and privacy preferences through your device settings and Google account settings where available
• Turn on Wi-Fi or mobile data when the App reports that internet is required
• Uninstall the App to remove local App data
12. International users
If you use the App outside your home country, your information may be processed in other countries by Google and its partners as described in their policies, subject to applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when revisions are published. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
14. Contact / support
For support or privacy questions related to this App, use the contact and support options provided on the App’s Google Play Store listing. This Privacy Policy intentionally does not include a personal email address.
