Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 8, 2026
1. Introduction
HTML To Text provides local HTML-to-text and text-to-HTML conversion tools. This policy explains how information is handled when the application is used.
2. File Processing
Documents selected by the user are processed locally on the device. The app does not upload selected HTML or text documents to a custom conversion server.
3. Device Storage
The Android system document picker is used to open and save files at locations chosen by the user. Imported files are not permanently copied by the app. Temporary files created for sharing are stored in the app cache and may be removed by Android or the app.
4. Internet Connection
An active internet connection is required for advertising and online functionality. The app checks network availability but does not use that check to inspect document content.
5. Advertising
The app is supported only by App Open and interstitial advertisements. Ads are shown at appropriate transitions and the app remains usable when an advertisement is unavailable.
6. Google AdMob
Google AdMob may collect or process information such as device identifiers, IP address, advertising interactions, diagnostics, and approximate location inferred from network information, subject to Google’s policies and user consent requirements. Google and its partners may use this information to provide, measure, personalize, and protect advertising.
7. Data Collection
The app itself does not request account, contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, phone, or SMS access. Advertising services may collect data as described above. Diagnostic information may also be processed by Android and Google services according to their settings and policies.
8. Permissions
The app uses Internet and network-state permissions to provide advertising, online functionality, and the mandatory connection check. It uses the Android document picker instead of requesting broad storage permission.
9. Third-Party Services
The application uses Google AdMob and Android platform services. Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms.
10. Advertising Choices and Consent
Depending on region, device settings, and Google requirements, users may be offered advertising privacy or consent choices. Ad personalization can also be affected by Google account and device advertising settings.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
The app has no user account and does not maintain a custom cloud database of converted documents. Temporary shared files may remain in app cache until Android or the app removes them. Clearing the app cache/data or uninstalling the app removes app-controlled temporary data. Files explicitly saved by the user remain in the selected storage location until the user deletes them.
12. Children’s Privacy
The app is not specifically directed to children. Advertising configuration and Play Store declarations must reflect the intended audience. Parents or guardians should supervise use where appropriate.
13. Security
Conversion is performed locally, broad storage access is not requested, and documents are shared through content URIs. No security method can guarantee absolute protection.
14. User Responsibility
Users should review files before sharing or saving them and should process only content they are authorized to use. Generated HTML preview disables JavaScript and unnecessary file and network access.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when application features, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The revised date will be shown at the top of this page.
16. Contact and Support
Users can contact the developer through the support/contact options available on the app’s Google Play Store listing.
17. Effective Date
This policy is effective September 8, 2026.
